Embracing the earthiness of nature, terracotta and green are a natural colour match. Both colours are formed by the earth, rich in texture and hues. They conjure up blazing sun dessert scenes or images of lush forestry. Whether standing in solitary bliss or united in force, they provide a sense of calm, soothing and tranquil.
Terracotta is traditionally associated with outdoor spaces, seen in flooring tiles or garden pots. However as we discussed in this post, interior design trends show people embracing the earthiness of nature inside their homes, as well as out, with colours ranging from warm reds and caramel browns, to apricots, dusky rose, clay and terracotta shades. Mixed with varying hues of green (we talk more in this post about hues of green and how to use them in your home), these modern, chalky variations are grown up pastels that work well across a range of interior styles, bringing sophistication and warmth to our spaces.
We love their work!
