If you’re busy redesigning your kitchen and looking for new ideas, then these three kitchen design trends are a must. We’re seeing these design elements creep into more and more kitchens, and while we’re not predicting whether these ‘trends’ are here to stay, we do love the sophisticated and timeless feeling they bring to a kitchen and know that we will be incorporating them into our future kitchen designs.
BUILT IN SINKS
The classic stainless steel sink has been on the out for many years now, and even the popular white farmhouse style sinks are less popular than before. If you’re in the process of redesigning your kitchen, consider a built in kitchen sink. Made from the same marble, stone or concrete material as your countertop. the sinks blend visually with the countertop for a seamless look.
BACKSPLASH SHELF
This look is ideal if you don’t need the upper cabinetry storage, and is even more effective if used on just one feature wall. I love the clean and minimal feeling it creates in the kitchen.
BANQUETTE SEATING
Banquette seating is doing double duty. It’s the latest replacement for both kitchen islands and formal dining areas. The banquette is more comfortable and more intimate than a kitchen island, but still saves you far more space than a dining area takes up. It also looks beautiful! Even in larger kitchen spaces you often see the popular banquette seating incorporated along with a kitchen island.
