If you are in the process of designing a new kitchen, or about to makeover your current one, then these kitchen design trends are a must. We are seeing these finishing touches creep into more and more kitchens, and we are predicting that they are here to stay.
We love the sophisticated and timeless feeling they bring to a kitchen space and jumping at the opportunity to incorporated them into future kitchen designs.
BUILT IN SINKS
The classic stainless steel sink has been on the out for many years now, and even the popular white farmhouse style sinks are less popular than before. If you’re in the process of redesigning your kitchen, consider a seamless built in kitchen sink.
Made from the same marble, stone or concrete material as your countertop. the sinks blend visually with the countertop for a seamless look.

SPLASHBACK SHELF
This look and finsih is ideal if you don’t need the upper cabinetry storage, or for an empty wall that is holding the oven and hob. The depth of the lip depends on the space, but of course the deeper it is, the heavier it is., so you’ll need to make sure it is correctly installed to prevent accidents.
Not only do we love the clean and minimal feeling it creates, but also the styling and display opportunities it presents.
BANQUETTE SEATING
Built-in banquette seating is doing double duty. It’s the latest replacement for both kitchen islands and formal dining areas. It also works really well in larger homes where the dining area may be further away from the kitchen, and you want an intimate breakfast nook immediately available.
The banquette is more comfortable and more intimate than a kitchen island, but still saves you far more space than a dining area takes up. It also looks beautiful!
