Bunk beds have been around forever, but they have definitely gotten cooler over the last few years. These days though it is not uncommon to see three or four sets of bunks all in one room in large homes, guest houses and holiday cottages.
Known as bunk rooms, the beds typically come in the form of custom built-in units and are designed to maximise available sleeping space. They are the epitome of cool as far as kids are concerned, and this is especially true when the beds are large and oversized and the bed incorporates an element of custom storage. Bunk rooms are also the ideal way to group (dump?) all the kids together on a group holiday (remember those?!)
We had planned on taking you through the bunk bed concepts we recently created for a client, but we just fell down a really cool Pinterest bunk bed rabbit hole, so we’ll come back to that project tomorrow. For now, let’s just hang out in one of these super cool bunk rooms.
