Sometimes re-arranging your living space packs as much punch as buying new furniture, while even the smallest decorating touches can bring new life to your room. If you’re in the mood for a Friday makeover, we’ve got three tried and tested budget ways to transform your home.
MIRRORS
Mirrors are a simple and inexpensive way to bring light into your room. One large mirror is ideal for maximum impact. Alternatively instead of a gallery wall of art you can get creative by grouping several mirrors of different shapes and sizes together.
We love the selection of affordable mirrors available at Superbalist,
TRAYS
Trays are great for taking bits and pieces and making them look intentional. In your living space you can group ypretty vase together with your remote control and coasters. In the bathroom your hand wash and toothbrush can sit side by side. The key is to make sure the try size suits the space and the more mess the are housing, the higher the sides of the tray.
Woolworths Home has a great selection of trays to get you started.
THROWS
We all know switching up our cushions for the change of season is a great way to bring new life into a room, but we are also big advocates of the throw. Dress up a plain sofa or highlight an armchair with a throw over the back. Not only is it cosy, but it also brings in an added layer of texture and colour too. They work with beds too.
I always partial to the selection of throws at Country Road, but H&M Home has a few good quality ones too.
It also goes without saying that a bunch of fresh flowers or indoor planter is a fabulous and affordable way to refresh any space.
Have fun!
