With summer (and Christmas!) on our doorstep, is there a better way to bring family and friends together outdoors than by creating the perfect space for it? Long dinner parties outdoors on a balmy summers evening have to be one of the best ways to connect with your loved ones, while weekend brunches are a personal favourite.

When considering a dining table and chairs for your outdoor space, it is important to think about scale, shape and usage – just like you would for inside your home.
Obviously, the smaller the space the smaller the pieces. Shape is also important as it affects the flow in and around the dining area, and most likely around the all important braai and food prep zone. Round tables are ideal for corner nooks and circulation areas, as they create more of a sense of ‘flow’. If you need to push your table against a wall then square tables are best.
