Integral to the redesign was opening up the bedroom and bathroom into one open plan space, and the addition of the pitched roof and high windows, opening the connection between inside and out and highlighting the gorgeous views. Our clients wanted the design process to be about the enhancement of the views, and in contrast to the hardness of the mountain we opted for a soft and soothing white palette in the bedroom. To highlight the contemporary additions to the room, internal walls were unified with a soft white tone, while wood look flooring and a large soft pile rug ensure there is warmth underfoot.
