As we talk about tiny homes and small scale living, we also need to talk about the garden shed. With our new work from home lifestyle, many people have been looking for an extra room in which to set up their home office. Enter the garden shed, which frees up valuable space from inside your home and is a far more affordable option than undergoing a renovation.
During our search we’ve seen a few amazing home offices, a pottery studio and a serene yoga studio. If you’ve done something cool with garden shed, we’d love to see it. Tag #thehomestudio to Show Us Your Shed, and we’ll share our favourite shed hacks in stories.
The Yoga Studio
This junk filled shed was transformed in a serene yoga studio by simply give the interior and exterior a fresh coat of white paint. The interiors were filled with complimentary yoga equipment, while a large branch adds a touch of nature.

The Home Office
As you know we love a dark and moody space, which creates a stunning backdrop for simple wood pieces to’pop’ against – which is exactly what happened in this man cave home office. Well thought out planning incorporated several smaller storage solutions, including a small seating bench, bookshelf display and a record collection.

The Pottery Studio
A neutral wood and white palette, makeshift shelving racks and working table are all it took to turn this garden shed into a thriving pottery studio.
