We’ve been working on the design of a client’s upcoming bathroom renovation, and while working on the concept the topic of beige bathrooms came up. Beige in the bathroom is a neutral that can very often look dated if one is not careful. The client, however, wants stick to the home’s overall colour scheme of beige, white, sand and nude tones for the bathroom.
In doing our research we spent some time on Pinterest to evaluate options and installation on what was becoming a much debated topic in our office. While we can confidently say the results can be anything but boring, we also included our top 3 tips for using beige in bathrooms.
1. Don’t put beige on all the walls, floors and ceiling. Offset the colour with a crisp white or darker complimentary colour for a modern edge.
2. Pair the colour with modern and minimal fixtures – especially black ones. We LOVE, love the pairing of beige with black fixtures and accessories.
3. Blonde wood elements, such as vanities, also add a modern edge to the colour
