If you joined us on our escapism journey today, you’ll have seen that we were enamoured by the gorgeous crazy paving flooring used throughout the restaurant interiors.
We do know however that not everyone loves crazy paving. And we get it. We understand where you are coming from, but hear us out (and seriously – look at that flooring!)
Although many retro trends belong (and should be left) in the 70s – crazy paving is not one of them. Crazy paving has a versatile application that we still love seeing in homes today, especially when used in modern grey tones to compliment contemporary outdoor areas.
Let’s not forget the added bonus that crazy paving is an economical material, providing a stone finish and adding plenty of texture to a space. It can be found in a variety of colours and size, traditional in the black and grey slate style as seen above. Because of its versatility, it can be used indoors and outdoors, providing a seamless flow of flooring between the two areas.
This random patterned paving suits spaces and pathways with irregular shapes, avoiding strong lines and lending itself to a more organic feel than other pavers.
If your outdoor area has limited space for planting but is still in need of some softness, texture and interest, crazy paving is definitely worth consideration!
