Today our escapism journey takes us to Via Porta Restaurant and Deli, in Melbourne Australia. You’ll find me perched on that bar stool, relishing in equal measures the craftsmanship and design detail on the bar counter, while savouring a glass of rosé and the offerings from the deli cabinet.
Designed by Studio Esteta, Via Porta Eatery and Deli is said to be an extension of a traditional Italian family kitchen and pantry. This includes Italian favourites such as cold meats and cheeses, as well as take home meals and home made condiments.
The craving paving really caught our attention, as we have been looking at the resurgence of crazy paving and wondering how we felt about it. Different to the traditional black slate options we have come to know, the flooring here is made from earthy toned off cuts of paving. We love the warm but soft effect it creates throughout the eatery.
