I’m sure you all know of the stunning Bosjes Chapel, but what of the adjacent Bosjes Kombuis restaurant? If you need further motivation to take a drive and visit the chapel, then this gorgeous restaurant setting is it!
Just as awe inspiring in design, the structural layout of the restaurant is based on the historical Cape Dutch House and its outbuildings, with the scale, height and length replicating the Manor House. The materials used include a combination of stone, concrete, glass and wood, as a direct contrast tot he Manor House, however allowing the Kombuis to blend with the surrounding landscape.
The outside wall features a Delft-inspired mural designed by Cape Town based artists, Lucie de Moyencourt and Michael Chandler. The Bosjes Tree of Life is made up of 336 tiles and depicts the fauna and flora of the farm and its surroundings.
