FURNITURE GETS A WIGGLE ON

Move over clean, modern lines, there is a new wave of furniture and decor embracing the wiggly trend. From curvy edges to wavy lines, the wiggly furniture shape is showing up everywhere, including textiles and rugs.

This light-hearted approach to design can bring a lot of whimsy to what can be considered an otherwise serious approach to design. This wiggle effect is not necessarily new. Frank Gentry pioneered the Wiggle Side Chair and Stool back in 1972. However recently we have seen the use of playful colours, bold shapes and unexpected proportions. An approach that inspiring a whole new range of pieces.

We love the clever use of winding lines and sinuous shapes. From grand stately mirrors to everyday household objects, everyone is getting their wiggle on. We think that any area of the home can do with a curvy addition, so we pulled together our favourite finds of wiggly furniture and decor items .
